Christmas Day 2001
We took the train into the city almost everyday
GROUND ZERO
EPA MONITOR FOR AIR QUALITY
about 3 block from ground zero
its a very very long walk in to this side of ground zero
Car Wash for every car that leaves ground zero to decontaminate
Right around here I was interviewed by CNN radio
looking across the Hudson to the statue of liberty
empty blue sky is where the twin towers stood
you will notice some of these windows also have boards on them

on the 28th of Dec they are opening the ramps
I know I took a lot of these
the Emptiness really was overwhelming......
If you look straight up from the 3 policemen you will see a
cutaway of the building ......damage from Sept 11
porta potty --- gothy was amused
Postcards - in so you can see how huge it was gothy says we
walking in from the lower left along Westside Highway about 3 miles
further out
he says we walked about 12 miles and we went about 3/4 around the whole
area.
Even these pictures dont do justice to the enormity of the area that was
impacted
